I volunteer at YAS because it's a wonderful reprieve from the conditions dogs face on the chaotic streets of Yangon. I am grateful it exists to provide safe shelter to sweet dogs who would otherwise be forgotten. The dogs at the shelter are friendly and always excited to see us. It's always a highlight of my week to visit them.

I love being around the dogs and doing whatever I can to keep them happy and healthy. Volunteering at YAS has enriched my life immeasurably. I have been in Myanmar almost three years, and I know that when I leave, what will stay with me most are the dogs of YAS.
